1 John 4:7-11
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us,
we ought also to love one another.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
-- Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some ginuine enemies.
-- Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere, people may deceive you.
-- Be honest anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.
-- Create anyway.
If you serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
-- Be happy anyway.
The good you do today will often be forgotten.
-- Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.
-- Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis,
it is between you and God;
it is never between you and them anyway.
(From the poem on the wall on Mother Teresa's Home for Children)
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Dear Father in heaven,
Our understanding of "love" is distorted by Satan's lies.
We are blind, and cannot see. Please give us Your light;
Teach us Your love.
Love that is Selfless; Not Self-seeking,
In Jesus' name. Amen.
God's love stands tall when all else falls.

God's love is deeper than men's darkest hatred.
